Do you see Conversion Customer or Conversion Vendor in your newly converted file? Learn how to resolve this below.
In your converted file, you'll see Conversion Customer when we locate a General Journal that hits AR but doesn't specify a customer name. We'll use Conversion Vendor when we locate a General Journal that hits AP but doesn't specify a vendor name. The customer or vendor name can be unassigned in QuickBooks Online, but this is not allowed in QuickBooks Desktop or Enterprise. In order to complete the conversion, we'll use these generic names as placeholders.
So that you can assign the correct customer or vendor name in your converted file, visit the Customer Center or Vendor Center in QuickBooks Desktop and view the transactions for "Conversion Customer" or "Conversion Vendor" (make sure that you've selected "All Dates"). Alternatively, you can run a Quick Report for "Conversion Customer" or "Conversion Vendor" to see the transactions.
Locate those same transactions in QuickBooks Online so that you can assign the correct customer name or vendor name to the line in QuickBooks Desktop.
