What Gets Converted
We recommend that you carefully review this list to learn more about how we convert your data and what currently does not convert over. This will help you decide if a move from QuickBooks Online to QuickBooks Desktop or Enterprise is right for your business.
Versions We Cannot Convert
Unfortunately we are unable to convert the following QuickBooks Online versions and file types:
- QuickBooks Online Self-Employed
- QuickBooks Online NON-US
- QuickBooks Online Multicurrency files
- Inactive QuickBooks Online accounts / QuickBook Online accounts with expired subscriptions
Inventory / COGs
If your QuickBooks Online company file has inventory/COGs, we strongly suggest a conversion to QuickBooks Enterprise instead of Desktop. QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Enterprise both use the FIFO method when calculating costs, but QuickBooks Desktop uses the Average Cost method. A conversion to QuickBooks Desktop with inventory will likely result in reporting differences because of the different accounting methods used. Learn more about the impact of inventory cost analysis a during conversion here.
Supported QuickBooks Desktop Versions
Our converted files can be restored in QuickBooks Desktop versions 2020 and newer, QuickBooks Enterprise versions 2020 and newer, and QuickBooks Mac Desktop versions 2019 and newer.
How Long will the Conversion Take?
Most of our conversions complete within a couple hours, but large and/or complex files can take several days to complete. You'll receive regular status updates and an email once your conversion is ready.
